One Breath into Now Changes Everything
I was walking home from the gym.
Couldn’t it rain later?
Or another day when I’m not out?
And then I stopped.
I took a deep breath.
I remembered something.
Just a few days ago, in my home town in Siberia, where right now it’s still -20C, and lots and lots of snow, I was dreaming about the day, when I’d enjoy the rain. The rain I love so much.
I love the sound of rain.
I love the air, when it’s raining, that fresh scent of water mixed with the scent of leaves on the ground.
I love how it makes me feel. In the moment. Not super excited but just at peace. Perfect. Calm. Alive. Here and Now.
I love especially the kind of quiet rain.
It’s not windy. It’s fresh. Maybe a bit chilly but pleasant.
It doesn’t make you wet, when you have anything to put above your head.
It makes sound. Not too loud, not too intense. Just perfect kind of sound.
And this kind of rain exactly I’m under right now.
I’ve been waiting for it for so long, listening to the rain sounds on YouTube back in Siberia, seeing nothing but white snow outside my window.
And Now I was complaining to myself about it.
One more breath.
Feeling so grateful.
I love the rain.
The rest of my walk I couldn’t stop myself from smiling.
It’s such a pleasure to walk under the rain!
I almost forgot how it always makes me feel Inspired.
Awe. Creative. Contemplative. Peaceful.
There is music in the air.
Can you hear it?
Drops of the rain are singing.
