Healthy Thanksgiving everyone!
Even if you are not in US getting ready for a pumpkin pie and turkey party, get in the spirit of giving and gratitude! It makes any day so much better!
Here in NYC it’s so cool!
I saw people up and running somewhere, no doubts, fun at 4.30 AM while on my way to work out — everyone’s smiling, wishing happy thanksgiving to each other, getting ready for a thanksgiving balloon parade — I’m so loving it!
Thanksgiving is not about food, or an excuse to stuff yourself with all the food your mind can think of, all the food advertised, all the food cooked, all the food sold.
Thanksgiving is not about Turkey, or a pumpkin pie, or whatever else is on traditional celebration food list.
It’s about giving thanks. It’s about giving to others. It’s about gratitude for everything we’ve all been given.
I’m not saying you should say NO to every food tradition and enjoy nothing you like or want.
I’m saying there are better choices.
Like low carb delicious healthy pumpkin pie.
Don’t be a follower — be a leader. Lead people to more health, more energy and vitality, more connection and less stuffing.
And if you have some goals that are really important to you — like Cover Fitness Model in 18 days, then don’t eat pumpkin pie, appreciate the people in your life, share your goals and excitement and ask for support, go help someone, feed someone in need with that delicious pie and hit your goals!
The reward is worth it.
Choose what you want most, not what comes easier. Pumpkin pie will always be there.
And hey, Thanksgiving is not a reason to be lazy! Go and hit that workout — no matter how the day ends, you’ll feel a whole lot better and more motivated, more giving, more grateful and joyous!
