“Busy is a decision”.
My all-about-health-and-living conversation with a prolific designer Debbie Millman.

It was an ordinary Wednesday afternoon in New York City.It didn’t feel special.
Except, it felt special to me.
I was about to interview one of the greatest designers working in the world — Debbie Millman.
I was about to discover “secrets” behind the fountain of abundant creative energy, that fuels Debbie’s life and work.
I was about to discover healthy routines, healthy habits, healthy practices, that Debbie uses to stay physically and mentally fit for the life of meaningful work, life well lived.
Only…
“I’d probably be the least “healthy” person you will interview”, Debbie warned me, before we started.
Debbie definitely doesn’t consider herself a health standard, meaning someone, who consciously practices healthy habits to the best of her abilities. She’s definitely got better over the last 5 years of her life, as Debbie mentioned in our conversation, quitting daily diet of carbonated beverages, Starbucks’ venti lattes, French fries and burgers, but Debbie does not consider herself, in any way, an example of healthy living. With which, after our conversation and digging deeper into what Debbie’s healthy eating, healthy living routines are, I politely disagree.
If everyone did what Debbie does, we’d definitely have no diabesity and degenerative diseases’ epidemic.
Plus (I didn’t mention it to Debbie, as I’ve just thought about it), Debbie, not thinking about it, practices a “new miracle”, health, weight loss, longevity habit, that receives more publicity and attention from health enthusiasts and health, nutrition, longevity, fitness researches.Care to guess what it is?Intermittent Fasting of course!
Debbie is not a breakfast person, having a zero calorie regular coffee in the morning, a bigger lunch and a smaller dinner, going to bed by 12 AM as a night owl to get her MUST-HAVE 8 hours of sleep.
All the fascinating, interesting details about Debbie’s health life, Debbie’s life and work routines you’ll learn from our conversation, that happened on this, ordinary otherwise, Wednesday afternoon, May 31st, 2017.
