How to start AND continue exercising.
No willpower required. 100% results guaranteed.
You probably already know that exercise is REALLY good for you!
Not so much to lose weight and make the number on the scale lower — exercise is really not the best idea for that (Food is)
But to slow aging, to better mood, to lessen chronic pains, to get stronger and younger, to have better vision, to get fitter, to grow muscles, to make bones stronger, to have more energy, to grow more brain cells and get smarter, to improve memory, to improve metabolism, blood sugar and cholesterol levels, and all the other heart health stuff, to boost your self-esteem — name one thing that exercise doesn’t improve and I would learn something new.
Exercise makes you healthier, fitter, smarter, stronger, better in every way! And sedentary lifestyle kills you slowly — science now calls sitting a new smoking, not without a reason.
You might also know, that to be optimally healthy and fit for life, to embrace anything that life throws at you and to handle it, getting better, you got to do:
cardiovascular training (150 minutes of moderate aerobic activity like fast walking, or as little as 30 minutes a week of HIIT training),
strength training (with dumbbells or machines, or your own body weight a couple of times a week),
for balanced mind-body development and mind-body connection you got to do something like yoga or tai-chi or pilates — stretch, relax, connect your body and mind (what Dave Asprey calls functional movement)
You know all that, or heard about it.
But, in our not so healthy world, when everything around you seduces you to sit on your rear end for hours at a time eating as much as possible, and not the good-for-you-stuff but junk that kills your cells one bite a time, in this world, how do you motivate yourself to exercise daily? To get out there and move, instead of hanging out in front of TV or at another restaurant? How do you go against the majority of the world, that kind of gave up on health and fitness and accepted decline of health, fitness, vitality over the years, accepted less and less energy, accelerated aging, more and more pain in the body and mind, more and more medications, leaving health, vitality and pursuit of personal fitness to athletes and “chosen” ones, who somehow get enough energy, somewhere, to exercise keeping the body and the in top condition, succeeding in life, having fun.
How do you motivate yourself to become one of those “chosen”, to exercise daily, when you feel like… shit… very often, when it’s time to exercise?!
The answer is simple.
Surround yourself with those “chosen” people. Who chose health, fitness and over-flowing abundance of energy instead of TV, junk (that I can’t call food) and toxic people, who gave up on life and themselves.
Have a fit friend?
Ask for support and accountability to start your fit and healthy journey. Join their workouts! Spend more time with their fit crowd. Choose health and movement every single day. Every single time.
Don’t have fit friends?
Join any fit community wherever you are! No matter how unfit or fit you are, you can always join and do your best — and people there will always support and encourage you to be better, fitter, healthier you!
No communities around?
Start a walking group! I’m sure there are many many people, who choose a TV evening with a bag of potato chips (not kale or organic ones) instead of a walk, just because they have no one to go with.
Start a movement! Get Fit! Help others and each other!
That’s the easiest, simpliest and MOST workable solution to start exercising every day.
Proven by practice. Proven by people. Proven by science.
