Hey, they can make any crap to taste, look like, smell like and feel like food these days in a lab. Does it mean you should be eating it? Does it mean you are designed to live of it? Eating it daily?

Most of the stuff, 90% and more, of what you find on the shelves in a regular supermarket or food store is NOT food, it’s not meant for a daily consumption, no matter what marketers tell you.

And we are really blind not to see, that the experiment is not exactly working out for us. Most of us are either sick, in pain, or would be in pain without medication. Most of us have no energy for life and can barely make it through the day. Most of us don’t even know what clear thinking would feel like and look like.

Isn’t it obvious that we suck at food creation? We really do. If you were to take any other area of life, business or relationship or whatever, and try some sort of practice, that would make your customers or partners sick and barely functioning, would you continue the practice? Or would you try something else?

We can assist nature in the process of food making — as farmers, gatherers, care givers, cultivators, cooks, preservers. But actual food making? Making food products for life, for health, for optimal performance — we suck at it! And too proud to admit that! That mother nature, that we claim to outsmart, figured out a better way to make something. The way, that we can barely make sense of. We have an ego too big to accept our ignorance and incompetence. And suckiness at making food.

What is the substance, that is meant to support our health and vitality? Our life?

It’s pretty simple actually.

Anything created by nature. The less it’s messed with by humans — the better.

We as a culture came up with a few smart ways to prepare, what is made by nature, plant and animal foods, to get more out of them, to make nutrients more bio-available, like cooking. We came up with a few smart ways to preserve food also. That’s probably why we managed to survive and thrive, and develop such a huge brain.

There is a balance somewhere. I’m not sure where exactly the line is. What is ok and not ok, when it comes to food altering.

I do know though that I feel the best when I eat the most simple foods. Foods that come with no package — fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds, herbs, fish, meats, berries, dairy. I always do minimal cooking to help nature a bit, not changing foods much, the taste, how it looks. Great quality food has a lot of taste without doing much with it. it’s when WE grow crappy foods — it tastes like nothing. Plain foods aren’t plain, when we don’t mess with it. Even a simple home-grown tomato tastes divine! Nothing added. It’s a bomb of taste. It’s whole. Complete. It’s perfect!

People ask me often, how do I maintain such a great health, energy, vitality, like a spring of fresh water bubbling with life, how I never gain weight, stay lean, have great skin and hair with using no products on them.

Do you wanna know my secret?

No secret!

Really simple.

Not “I’m feeling like a snack” kind of hungry.

But “I can kill, if I don’t eat right now” kind of hungry.

And then meals taste so delicious! It’s like a mini orgasm to eat, when you get to satisfy your true hunger.

I don’t count calories or watch my portions.

I eat till I’m satisfied. I eat slowly, savoring my food and paying attention to food.

Then I stop eating. That’s it.

I shop once a day for my food. I go to a market or store and ask myself, “What do I feel like eating today? Vegetables? Nuts? Eggs? Fish? Dairy? Fruits? What does my body need?”

I smell herbs, fruits, veggies, look at fish. I pick a few things for the day. Come home. Cook them really fast and simple. Sit down. Enjoy and savor.

And I have no idea or plan, when I’m gonna eat next time. It’s usually once a day. In the evening.

It’s so simple.

Healthy eating is so simple and yet such a rich experience!

Nature’s foods are amazing! Nothing made in a lab will ever come close to that deep nourishment on all levels nature foods provide.

Stop being a part of an experiment. Please. For you. Your life. People you care about.
