Life is not in your head.
What I do when it feels like the life is a no-escape prison.

Life is not in my head — the thing that I’m learning the hard way.
Every time I think too much without actions, without living — I get in trouble. I get depressed and life seems like a no-escape prison.
I planned to write a Smart Fat book review (still in the plans, hang in there!) but I felt like something else was more important.
I’ve been listening to this podcast with Tim Ferriss and Jocko Willink.

Dark places.
We all have them. There are moment in everyone’s life — unless you decide to be a delusional optimist and deny it — when you feel like it’s too hard, that living thing. Like it doesn’t make sense — none of it. It’s empty, it’s pointless, you are a worthless failure and the world is better off without you.
Or some version of it. Sometimes more intense, sometimes less.
Dark places exist. And there are bunch of demons and critics living there. Creatures, that dress up as your thoughts, creatures, that know all your “flaws” and ready to tell you all of them, whenever your ear is open to hear.
All those things, thoughts, negative perspective on about anything — not true. They seem like the most important BIG things in life, in the whole world, your world — personal, true, make sense… Why else would you be such a “failure”? Right? If it wasn’t true, you’d figure it all out long time ago and would be completely satisfied with your life. Happy. Perfect.
Life is not perfect.
Nobody has all the answers.
Everyone is working on their own shit, you and I have no idea about. Everyone is fighting a battle within.
Have compassion. For everyone. Including yourself.
Why do we have those dark places, dark thoughts, dark moments?
Just like the bitter makes us understand and appreciate the sweet better, life needs dark to make the light brighter. It would be kind of boring to have it all figured out from the day you were born, have it all given to you. Wouldn’t it? It wouldn’t be much of a journey, would it?
What do I do to get out of darkness? To stay alive and living instead of thinking, instead of listening to negative-news radio station?
Live.
Think enough to take smarter actions. Stop thinking. Go do things. Reflect. Repeat. Smile.
Connect with people. Look people in the eyes and smile, silently saying, “I get it. I know you are going through stuff. We all are. Better together. You’ll make it. It’ll get better. Take my hand. We’ll make it”

Say something good to the other here with you. You both will win the day.
Do something good for the other. People care about you. You care about “them”.
Do something for yourself. Go and workout. Go for a walk. Breathe. Move. Live!
Life is not in your head. It’s out there. It’s here. It’s now. In the world with people. People just like you.
