Live life at a different angle.
Monkey mind training, fitness model and lean blackberry chia pudding.
As my body is getting adjusted to more training and different nutrition the monkey mind starts whining.
“It’s too hard! You need to rest. Let’s sleep in. You can’t keep it up. Life is supposed to be easier. I want to sleep. I want to eat. I want to do nothing and watch TV under the warm blanket. What are you doing? It’s cold and dark out. It’s not going to change anything. It’s stupid. Let’s stay home — it will all work out by itself. Why do you even need that?”
And on and on and on … — it doesn’t stop. Not yet. It’s resisting the change and the unknown. No matter how good that unknown is.
That’s why you need routines and commitments. That’s why you need to decide what you do when you hear that whining in your head, when you feel tired, when you feel unmotivated and down, when it seems like you have no energy or reason to keep going towards something undefinable and blurry in the future, when it seems like nothing is working for you.
That whining is temporal. It’s a sign of passing the border of your comfort zone into the land of unknown exciting different future you saw in your dreams.
That whining means you are really working on something. You are on to something.
Keep it up!
A great way to make the whining stop, at least temporarily, — look at it at a different angle. Change your perspective. Surprise your monkey mind.
Look at whining as a sign of results coming and change happening.
Listen to it. Smile. Keep working. Work even more.
Your brain is an untrained monkey. Don’t let it rule your life, your true self. Be the master.
And eat yummy chia pudding to reward yourself and that whining monkey.

TRAIN YOUR MONKEY BRAIN
Great podcast on training. Dogs’ taining mostly, but can be successfully applied to the monkey mind training as well.
“Dogs are here to teach us. And if you don’t open your eyes to that, you’re going to miss life lessons.”

Chia Pudding with Blackberries, Coconut and Pistachios
You prepared this last night, just garnish it with chopped pistachios in the morning!
Makes 1 serving
½ cup blackberries
3 tablespoons chia seeds
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon unsweetened shredded coconut
10 raw, unsalted pistachios (20 for men)
In a small mixing bowl, crush the blackberries with a fork so that they’re the consistency of a thick jam. Add chia seeds, almond milk, vanilla extract, and shredded coconut. Stir everything together to combine, then transfer to a small airtight container and refrigerate overnight.
When you’re ready to eat the pudding, roughly chop the pistachios and sprinkle them over the chia pudding to eat.
