Space, fun exercise saving aliens, Hololens.

Everyone needs to get a bit (or a lot) geeky.

Technology is everywhere and it’s here to stay.

The least you must do is educate yourself about tech, not to be left behind working harder suffering, while the world is passing you by putting in half the efforts and time, working smarter and having fun.

I’m VERY passionate about health, fitness, nutrition, practice of healthy eating for maximum energy, best genes and extraordinary life.

And just like any other area of life, health, healthy living is affected by tech.

And I’m not just talking about fitbits and other wearable technology used to quantify your fitness journey and nutrition intake, counting steps.

Every area of health practice is affected by technology somehow, from food distribution, manufacturing and availability to the way we move daily.

We need to educate ourselves about possible negative and positive sides of this influence of tech to use it for our benefit, not to make ourselves sick. Not everything that put into practice these days is better than what we had in the past, nor past is better than today and the future. Some things we screw up and got to learn again, got to start again, some things are good and worth keeping. We got to NOT fall in love with progress and futurism idealizing it, we got to NOT fall in love with the past either. It is an art of critical thinking, data analysis and common sense.

Take food production, go to an average supermarket — most of what you see on the shelves is crap that you should never put in your mouth again, if you want to live a healthy, vibrant, degenerative-diseases-free long life.

BUT food distribution and many modern techniques of growing and preserving good quality food are actually pretty f*cking amazing, giving most of the people access to fresh fruits, vegetables, greens, meats and fish etc. all year round.

Yes, technology made sedentary lifestyle possible for most of the people in western society, BUT it also can make moving lifestyle much easier, more fun and more effective.

Like using Hololens (mixed reality computer that you wear on your head) to save aliens from parallel reality by squatting and doing lunges.

Or having hell of a lot of fun killing monsters coming out at you from all directions from the walls in your room!

How about that for a fun workout for you (big kid) or your kids?

In fact, that’s how they are making workouts fun for people in space!

The idea machine and CFO (Chief Fun Officer) of ISSIE, International Space Station Interesting Exercise program for astronauts (and Earthlings) is a 10 — year old girl Laura Doyle!

Together with her father, Michael Doyle, brother and their teammates they make space healthier and more fun for astronauts!

How cool is that?
