Supplements are for entertainment.
Fitness Models agree.

“Yeah, I don’t believe in all that supplements stuff.
Real foods, man. That’s where power is.”
Karry, a guy who works at 24-hour fitness where I go.
“I got to do some research about all the healthy fats we talked about!
Got to grow some muscle and lose some fat!”
…
“People ask me how I do that.
Training so early [4 am every day], being so active and happy, full of energy all the time.
Where do I get my energy?
Just taking care of myself, just taking care of myself.
Eating good food — I’m into all that organic stuff, you know.
Taking good multi vitamin here and there.
I LOOOVE my green drink I make every morning from whole food green powder.
I don’t take any of that protein bullsh*t and sugary water, energy drinks.
Really simple.”
Shelton, retired military guy.
…
I started interviewing top fitness models, started talking to people at the top of fitness world — none of them are huge fans of supplements. Unless they promote the products and are paid for that.
They all say the same thing.
Good whole food is the key.
Supplements are entertainment and experiment.
Do you know Arnold Schwarzenegger?
All his generation of outstanding physique athletes?
There was none of that supplement crap back then.
And you know what?
Those physiques are still legendary and look MUCH MUCH better aesthetically than modern competitors, or what I like to call, Ninja Turtles Men (Overblown middle, because of all the crap that goes into their bodies. Not to mention they barely move not like Ninja Turtles. And can barely think and talk.)
What’s the point I’m making?
Fitness models (who still look like humans and are healthy) don’t take supplements seriously.
Neither should you.
You can enjoy your money elsewhere.
I take supplements from time to time. Multi-vitamin, whole food green powder, sometimes whole food plant-based protein shake, when I’m feeling like healthier entertainment, or can’t get a meal (If you don’t ever have time to eat — time to re-think your priorities).
But I’m a beast when it comes to nutrition!
No junk is allowed nowhere close to me! :)
PS Science makes new discoveries about the power of whole foods almost every single day and still doesn’t really know how it all works in our body!
If I were you, I’d treat supplements as a scientific experiment — because they are.
So are food like products on the shelves of your supermarket. If it wasn’t alive, running or growing at some point, or was changed a lot by all the crap added — it’s not food.
