The first win is over your mind.
When your lows get higher.

“Man, I’m not feeling like getting up today at all.”
Leave alone going to the gym for a crash-it workout.
3.30 AM. My alarm just went off.
And then there was a voice in my head (Damn you Tim Ferriss and Tools of Titans!),
“Is it a goal or a dream? Are you committed or interested to becoming a cover fitness model and building a successful personal brand and online business?”
I had an answer.
“I am committed. It is a goal. And I’m getting after it. NOW.”
I got up.
I put on my gym wear.
I went to the gym.
I had a blast workout!
I did more than I planned initially and had fun.
Aftermath.
I realized today I won a battle. Perhaps the biggest one. The one that matters the most to me. To my life. To my journey.
I was at a choice point. I realized it. I made a conscious choice about where I wanted to go. I sealed my choice with an immediate action. Not the one on Monday or New Year (that is in 3 days). Now. Today. And there is a difference.
I had to choose.
Do I really believe I can make it? Do I really believe I have what it takes to make my vision, my goal a reality I live?
If I do, then I got to get up and follow through with my commitments.
If I don’t, I can peacefully sleep in, because it won’t matter.
It might not seem like a big deal to you, dear reader, it might seem like a tiny spec of nothing to the outside world.
I was a HUGE thing in my life.
To honestly ask myself, if I believe in my goal and myself.
To honestly answer with the action NOW.
I am not auditioning for my goal anymore.
I am making it happen.
And yes, I didn’t have to fall all that low and start from zero again.
My low moments just got a bit higher.
My climb will be higher too.
And that means I’m on my way exactly where I want to end up.
Is it a goal? Or a dream?
Are you committed? Or interested?
And there is a difference.
Difference in energy and actions.
Difference in intention.
And as Seth Godin wrote in his blog today,
“Intention opens the door to forward motion.”
I woke up today feeling the least like going anywhere!
Leave alone crashing back/biceps workout.
I asked myself a question, I borrowed from Paul Levesque chapter of Tim Ferriss’ new bestseller book TOOLS OF TITANS,
“Is it a goal or a dream?
Are you committed or interested?”
A goal is something you have a plan for and commit to with daily actions.
NO MATTER WHAT.
A dream is something you fantasize about having, if luck strikes and it all plays out in your favor with no plan or daily actions.
That happens never.
A goal is something you work for daily. When you feel or don’t feel like it.
A dream is something you work for, when the weather is good and your mood and energy are up.
That changes like a mood of the sea.
I had an answer.
I am committed. It is a goal. I am making it happen. NOW.
I got up.
3.30 AM.
I put on my gym wear.
I went to the gym and had a blast!
I had a better workout, than I planned.
And it was fun!
IS IT A DREAM? OR A GOAL?
ARE YOU INTERESTED? OR COMMITTED?
Bonus question: what action are you going to do NOW to confirm your answer?
