Before we dig into the details of Lean Body lifestyle and habits tomorrow (with “Lean Habits for Lifelong Weight Loss” book) and the miracle of High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT, with “The One-Minute Workout: Science Shows a Way to Get Fit That’s Smarter, Faster, Shorter book) on Thursday, before that, I want to answer a very popular question, THE question I’m asked almost every day.

“What’s the best diet to lose weight and stay healthy for life?”

THE question I’m asked almost every day.

I get asked a lot of questions about food every day, but that one comes up in every conversation.

The truth is. There is no such thing and never will be.

No perfect diet.

Not only there is no diet, that will be perfect for all human beings. But also there is no perfect diet, that will work for you every single day till the rest of your life.

Food, eating habits, diets are powerful things. Not only to transform your body, but also the mind, thoughts, mood, life perspective, success in career and relationships.

You probably know, that different chemical substances, like alcohol or cannabis, or LSD, or even coffee change the state of your mind, your energy, your mood, your thoughts, your body.

Guess what? Food is a chemical substance too!

It produces different results (so do all those substance), but it changes you, maybe not immediately and so obviously, but over time — definitely.

Food has a powerful influence on us.

We need different foods, depending on what our genetics and ancestry are, where we live, how old we are, our gender, our body type, out lifestyle. Foods help us to be our best for this time in life, for the place we live in, for the season, for stress levels, for our state of health, for body transformations we seek to make. For mind transformations.

Is your mood the same every day? Are your days the same? Is your body the same today as it was 10 years ago?

Why do we think we need the same foods every day? The same meals? The same eating schedule? The same amount of nutrients? Amount?

Don’t you think it’s kind of silly to think that way?

I used to think that way. Until life taught me otherwise.

I don’t eat as I used to, when I was in my early 20s and in my teens.

Heck, I don’t eat today as I did yesterday!

That’s why there are so many contradicting diet/food theories and research confirming “the truth” about our food habits.

So what to do?

How to eat for weight loss, for health, for body transformation you seek?

Start with saying NO! to:

Any added sugar (“natural” included, like honey, sugar cane and beets, that sugar made of, are natural too)

Grains of any kind (you can leave without them and will feel much better)

Vegetable oils.

http://www.thankyourbody.com/vegetable-oils/

Processed foods (foods with too many ingredients with difficult non-whole-foods names, the more of them — the more processed the food is)

Say YES! to:

Vegetables cooked in a healthy way (even broccoli can be made into a poison, when cooked in bad quality vegetables oils). Green and colorful.

Nuts. Raw, sprouted, dry roasted, no vegetable oils, no peanuts (which are not nuts, just English language name confusion).

Fruits. Fresh. Local. Seasonal. Low sugar. If you want. 1–2 cups. Berries are best.

Fatty fish. Mackerel, salmon, sardines, anchovies, herring — the more Omega 3 and minerals like calcium, magnesium etc., the better.

Meat products from healthy animals. Fattier parts. Organ meats. Bone broth made from them.

Whole eggs. NOT just egg whites, the least nutritious part.

Good quality dairy. Unpasteurized, no sugar, cream, yogurt, cheeses, full fat, organic.

Anything made from these in a healthy non-toxic way — eat it.

Stick to the list, coming up with all the infinite amount of recipes and combinations possible, and see how you feel, see how your body changes, see what you naturally crave and need.

One final advice?

Before your natural hunger kicks in, not food addictive behaviors — stick to a reasonable plan.

Overeating of ANYTHING will not make your body happy.

That’s the answer.

No perfect diet. For you and me. Till the rest of our lives.

Eliminate toxic poisonous food.

Work with good quality whole foods.

Work your way to intuitive eating.
