Your actions today = Your dreams tomorrow.

Fresh Monday.

New week. New beginnings. New Moon.

Time to set intentions. Time to set goals. Time to dream. Time to make the future happen.

How?

Choices. Daily choices.

What is that person doing TODAY?

Match your actions today with your dreams tomorrow.

Sometimes… for tomorrow’s dream you need to let today’s comfort go.

Future is not tomorrow.

Tomorrow is past.

Future is today.

Future is the choices we make today.

Like it or not, but if you want to change your tomorrow, you have to start today.

Imagine yourself, your life exactly the way you want it.

The person, future me, in my imagination now is living in NYC in a beautiful apartment overlooking central park, working on health projects to help people practice healthy living daily, working on design and art projects with my favorite designers and artists, modeling, acting, traveling the world, taking beautiful pictures, learning all the time, discovering the secrets of 1000-year lifespan and other life mysteries, playing music, dancing, connecting and working with other beautiful souls, inspiring, helping people, serving the moment, sharing my life with people I love — all of that and more, not necessarily at the same time.

I have very vivid and wild imagination — nothing is impossible there.

Sometimes things don’t exactly work out the way I want them to. Sometimes it’s messy between here-now and there-tomorrow. Sometimes my today looks nothing like my dream tomorrow. Sometimes I’m scared, I don’t believe in my own dreams, in my own abilities, I feel stupid, inadequate, I feel like a nobody, like a fraud, worthless, powerless — sometimes all of that at once, and there is for sure something to confirm my worst fears, something or someone. Sometimes it seems intolerable. Sometimes I’m ready to give up.

Sometimes I feel like curling under my blanket never getting out into the real world — it’s scary out there. Especially if you try to do something you never did before.

And I might start whining.

Life is just not made this way. Whether we want it or not. Whether we like it or not. And I guess exactly because of that life is so damn interesting.

We have our dreams. And it’s like the Sun for the trees to grow towards.

Our dreams, the journey towards our dreams make us into the exact person we need to be to make our dreams come true. To transform our vision into our reality.

A dream is the bridge between you today and your most beautiful self tomorrow.

Nobody is ever given everything. Not even close. Although certainly sometimes it seems different.

The law is the same for everyone.

I could be sitting on my couch whining about why my move to NYC, the city I’ve wanted to move to for so long, is not exactly a smooth ride, why I injured my back for the first time exactly now, why I lost a few of my clients, why the project that was supposed to pay all the expenses is delayed, why all of a sudden home seems so promising and exciting. I could be worrying about all the things that can go wrong and all the uncomfortable situations I’ll most probably face. I could be thinking about all the reasons why I’m not ready to go after my dreams, why I’m not enough, why it’s not the time. Maybe I’d better stay here, in Russia, in Siberia? — It’s comfortable here, everything is simple — but also kind of boring and uninspiring for my soul.

I could be…

But the person living my dreams in the future wouldn’t do it.

The person living my dreams in my visions would make a different choice, would face the uncomfortable, would go through with it, would move to NYC, would do everything necessary to create the dream, to change the present, to create the future.

Isn’t it funny how often, at the exact moments, when we know something uncomfortable and life changing is about to happen, our scared self tries to sabotage everything somehow — an injury, losing a job, a client, losing money, family emergency, bad weather. It’s fun to watch what excuses we’ll try to find to justify why we can’t do the thing we know we need to do to become the person we want to be to have the dreams we want to have.

The best skill I learned for dealing with that sabotage“FUCK IT! I’m doing it anyway” attitude. Or, using the famous phrase by Richard Branson, “Screw it! Let’s do it!” attitude. And then I usually find the way to do anything, and it all kind of works out. Eventually.

Imagine yourself, your life exactly the way you want it.

Feel your life exactly the way it will feel, when you have it all — the person you are, things you do, things you have, people you are surrounded with, place you live in, career, relationships, your energy daily, you habits, your mood — everything.

Draw a picture, even if only in your imagination, of the exact life you want to live. Imagining it should feel amazing, expanding, uplifting and inspiring, energizing, it should put a smile on your face — if for some reason the vision you think you want doesn’t feel right — it’s not yours, let it go, you’ll never get there. Imagine what feels 100% right, good, joyful. Feel it, don’t think it.

Step into the now.

Today.

Here.

You.

What would future you do today having what you have now, being where you are now to have the life you just imagined having?

How would your day start?

What would you be thinking and doing first thing in the morning?

What would you eat?

What kind of people would you interact with?

How would you treat yourself? People and the world around you?

What actions would you take today?

What books would you read?

What decisions would you make?

What actions would you take?

There is a saying, that says something along the lines, “You got to be the person you want to be to have the things you want to have”. Things don’t make us. Our environment doesn’t make us. We make ourselves and the rest follows.

The trick is to realize, that the gap between the person who has what we want to have and the one now is closed by our daily choices.

Fresh Monday.

New week. New beginnings. New Moon.

Time to set intentions. Time to set goals. Time to dream. Time to make the future happen.

How?

Choices. Daily choices.

What is that person doing TODAY?

Match your actions today with your dreams tomorrow.

Sometimes… for tomorrow’s dream you need to let today’s comfort go.
